Spartan Manor

I began working in an aluminum air stream cabin in the woods behind my house during the spring of 2007, and continued making art there until I moved to Bantam, CT, in the summer of 2011. There was a stamp “product of Spartan Manor” on works from that period. (A new stamp reads “Sp. Manor NORTH” for works completed since). At one point a tree fell on top of the studio. The space was a fusion of ideal and material, as though my mind could become a physical place to explore, and everything there had the potential to be art. The concept was indebted to Warhol's Factory. (Since demolished)
